Athletics

On the 23 of November I did athletics, at athletics there was high jump, then 60 meters, then 200 meters then it was a first break. After the break I was very nervous, so nervous that the butterflies came after everything was done. The fastest class from the middle class and room7 won.

Then we vs the senior's and teachers and other's and we had to put the batten in between our legs and everyone won. At the end everyone went home.

Teacher

Mrs N teaches me a lot.

I like teachers because with out them I would be dumb.

Sometimes teaches get so angry at me because I talk to much.

I don't like school but a like my class because Mrs J helps me at maths and reading Mrs N helps me with most things.

Computers

Computers are the best because they are fast.

I love computers because there are cool as games like MW3.

computers are the things you should buy.

Making slime

This is a sample of my recount writing.

Today on the 29th of August Mrs N made slime in room7. Why we made slime was because we were trying to achieve our goals.

First Mrs N put half of a cup of white corn flower into boiling steamy hot water. The water was in the sticky yucky stuff. Then she put blue food colouring into the bowl. It looked watery.
I cant wait to see what it looks like when its real slime.

Drama play

I am learing to solve two and three dight addition problems using place value.

i sovled these problems by using my place value.
E.g; 58 + 67 =125 (50+60=110)+(8+7=15)

Heating Eating

On the 17-8-11 Millie came to room7 to teach us about healthy snacks. She told us to eat go, glow, grow food. Go food is like bread and Cereal and glow food is fruit. Grow food is meat. I need to work on getting healthy lunches organised for school.

Current events

For 5 weeks we are sharing current events in small groups.

I did my book selling first book selling is when you read your favourite book to the group.

Healthy drinks

On the 3.8.11 some people from project energize came to school. She tought what to drink and not to drink.

We learnt how much sugar is in the drinks. The cans of coke and V have about 7 teaspoons of sugar and bottles of E2 have 20 teaspoons of sugar. Most energy drinks have caffine in them. Caffine is really bad because your heart can stop.

Perseverance

This term our big idea is perseverance.

Perseverance means not giving up like you started something and you had somebody trying to stop you something finishing. I have had to persevere with writing and spelling and reading

but reading was the hardest thing to do because I didn't know some words. I sounded words out so know I know the words in my reading books.

Reflection on term 2

I enjoyed maths because it was hard and easy and I learnt heaps. I learnt about improper fractions.


I found writing very hard because i had to achieve all of my goals which was very hard and achieve my other goals at the same time.

I want to learn more about science and about maths so I find it easy.

We did baskteball last week. I learnt how to not travel. Travel is when you don't bonuce the ball.

I like basketball because of shooting and learning more skills every day.

Camp Week

Last week we went to Raglan and had our camp week. I will talk about Raglan first.

The Middle Syndicate went to raglan on Wednesday on a bus. When the class went into the club house we had a tour around the club house. The life guards took the class around the club house. The class had morning tea. After the morning tea the class learnt about the waves, which ones were dangerous. Then the class went outside to look at waves. Then we went to the Beach to have after the swim. We got changed back into are clothes . Then got on the bus and left.

The next day the it was camp day. We did games and activities all day! Then the next day we packed up to go home. After that we went inside our classrooms and played games. Then we had morning tea. Then we had free time and then we did are maui and the sun pictures. Then we went home. THE END.
