1. tidy numbers and
2. place value and splitting

92-49=43
1. 49+1=50 92-50=42+1
2. 92-40=52-9=43

84-38=46
1.38+2=40 84-40=44+2
84-30=54-4=46

I solved these problems by using place value and tidy tens.

E.g; 58 + 67 =125 (50+60=110)+(8+7=15)
